Google has hinted, a long time ago, that it might bring iOS to Android Wear, but that didin’t happened. But one popular Android developer, MohammadAG, has released a brief video that shows his iPhone side by side a Moto 360 smartwatch and both received a notification at the same time.
MohammadAG used the Apple Notification Center Service (ANCS), that connects via Bluetooth to share notifications from an iPhone to a smartwatch. With a small app build in the Moto 360, he was able to get Android Wear to pick up those notifications from the iPhone.
You are able to see in the video below, that the system warks for a simple text message however Android Wear depends on a companion Android device for more features that just simple notifications. Search for directions, managing your email or use Google Now, won’t work in this setup.
