As we all know , the recently launched Android M is already rolling out for some of the Nexus devices. As a result , people who installed the Developer Preview will get monthly updates in a regular basis.
Google says that it will deliver the updates for the devices equipped with the Developer Preview until its launched to the public in Q3 2015.
Google pretends to release an update to Preview 2 in late June or early July , then Preview 3 in late July , and the final Android SDK will arrive shortly before the public release. Dan Burke confirmed the approximate once-per-month updates , now lets see if they will fulfill their promise.
Although Google intends to launch the updates via OTA , they also will offer system images on their official website so you can flash them manually.
It’s good to know that Google is planning to launch monthly updates , to improve and tweak Android M before its released to the public , so devs can constantly tweak their apps to make sure its going to run smoothly in the final version.
