The LG G2 Android 4.4.2 KitKat OTA update is now being pushed to users. The update comes about a month after T-Mobile and AT&T released it for their G2 variants.
As usual, we are dealing with a staged roll out, so it can take several days until the new firmware is delivered to all users. If you receive the Android 4.4.2 update notification on your Sprint LG G2, all you need to do is download it, then select “Install now” after the download have finished. Your smartphone will restart then get upgraded to KitKat. You should also try checking for the update manually under Settings > System Updates > Update LG software > Check now. Alternatively, you can grab the USB cable, hook up your smartphone to the PC, and check for the update using the LG PC companion app. If you choose the OTA method, it’s recommended to download the update file through a WiFi connection to avoid data charges.
