This year at the MWC Acer introduced their new smartphones that are focused in medium and ow ranges: the Acer Liquid Jade Z, Liquid Z520 and Liquid Z220. Besides these the company also introduced an update of the Liquid Leap+ fitband, after the success of the first wearable model.
Acer Liquid Leap+
The success of the previous model in wearable market made the brand invest in an update for it with a new design. Acer promises that this accessory it’s compatible with several smartphones of the Android OS, iOS and Windows Phone.
It has a screen that measures an inch in its diagonal. To interact with the fitband the user only have to make gestures because it has no buttons. It synchronises with other devices with 4.0 Bluetooth ad its water proof (IPX7). This promises to be a low consumption device and its battery could last up to 5 days.
This fitband has as main features the step counting, burned calories, distance and sleep monitor. It is also possible to receive notifications and control smartphone musics.
Its central part it’s also removable allowing the user to customize and change the bracelet color. The release it’s expected already this month in Europe for 79€. And you can download the Leap Manager app on Google Play.
Acer Liquid Jade Z
You can say that this is the main device that will make Acer come back to the smartphones market. It has a compact and light design with plastic finishes and a 7.9mm thickness and weighs 110g.
It will bring a 5″ Gorilla Glass 3 screen equipped with Zero Air Gap technology and with a 720 pixels resolution. In what concern to hardware this has a MediaTek chipset with a 64 bits Quad-Core processor and brings LTE connectivity. The Liquid Jade Z have a 13MP rear camera with a f/1.8 opening and Acer Bright Magic technology. Its front camera has 5MP and a f/2.2 opening.
Acer wants to release this model in the main markets during this may of March with a price of 199€.
Acer Liquid Z220
In all their bets Acer decided to complete their economic ranges with this model, considering it a basic smartphone and users could get it for 89€.
The device has a 4″ screen with a WGA (800×480 pixels) resolution, with an internal storage of 8GB and with a 1.2 GHz Dual Core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and a 1GB RAM. It also has built-in a 5MP rear camera with a 89º opening, LED flash and a 2MP front camera. Although it is a basic smartphone it will run Android 5.0 Lollipop.
Acer Liquid Z520
The second bet for Acer low cost range has the same platform as the previous model although it has more details that wants to enhance the multimedia features, all of this with a price of 109€.
The model’s features are similar with the Acer Liquid Z220. But what makes its price rise it’s the 5″ screen with a 854×489 pixels resolution. It will also run Android 5.0 Lollipop and has a sensor in the 8MP rear camera with LED flash and enhanced loud speakers with DTS Studio Sound system.
This device will have three function modes: basic, specific for calls and text messages; simple with an interface that allows the access to messages, FM radio, weather, contacts and other features; standard with the Android OS.
These models introduced by Acer could be a plus for users that are looking for a device that it’s modern, simple, functional and with an accessible.
