The next OnePlus smartphone will be unveiled on July 27. Until then the brand already said that will continue to let everyone know what the device will bring. Already knowing that OnePlus has opted for the Snapdragon 810 processor, and USB Type-C for charging and syncing, it seems that now the company will also be including a fingerprint sensor.
This is a feature that it’s already in several devices but OnePlus believes that they can do it even better than the others.
With the OnePlus 2, the fingerprint sensor is done right. It’s refined and lightning quick, unlocking your device faster than TouchID. The average person checks their phone over 200 times per day. If you spend just three seconds inputting a PIN number or pattern, that’s over an hour of your time gone each week.
On the OnePlus 2, one quick tap takes you right to your homescreen. With the ability to store up to five fingerprint profiles, it’s fast, it’s safe, and it’s secure. Your smartphone is your most personal device, and its security should be personal, too.
Android M is set to bring native fingerprint support to the OS, so it will be interesting to see how OnePlus will take advantage of that.
